What is NLP?
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) first began in the USA during the 1970s. Richard Bandler a Mathematician and John Grinder a Linguist developed NLP from various psychotherapy techniques while studying the work of therapists such as Fritz Pearls, Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson.
Neuro:
Refers to our nervous system through which we process our 5 senses:Visual (sight) Auditory (hearing)Kinaesthetic (feelings) Gustatory (tastes)Olfactory (smells)
Linguistic:
Refers to our ability to use language and how certain words or phrases mirror our internal world. It also refers to our postures, gestures and habits that reveal our internal Frame of Reference.Pictures, sounds, feelings, tastes, smells, and Words (internal dialogue).
Programming:
This relates to the strategies and the programmes that we run in our brain to achieve the results in our life.NLP is how you can use your mind's own language to constantly achieve your own goals.
